Woah... You're comment totally changed or something from the e-mail... Weird.

No, I've never stood at a clinic before and I assumed that with Lou's mentality in all this would preclude the idea of building a physical wall, but I didn't know if B4L had changed at all since Lou left direct leadership over it. The greatest sin the Church has committed in all of this since 1973 next to our silence is our treatment of mothers who have had or are thinking of having abortions. So, we really do need to think of the mothers in all of this. However, our silence has to be ended as well. Like I said, it's complex, but at least it sounds like we're not going to make the same mistakes we've always made. :)

Anyway, I don't think I'm going to be able to make it out, but I'm sure you'll blog about the event. Will add it to my prayer list.

Have you ever stood at a clinic before? I can tell you that if the wall is anything other than a symbolic one, people will end up in the jail. :( No need to worry about the wall or the mothers, we are there to pray. No gory signs either, just red duct tape with the word LIFE on it. Come on out and make a statement to the city.

Oh man, is My Space awful or what!

I didn't know that Bound4Life had a chapter here in Philly. That's cool.

About the event, do we have any idea what this 'wall' is supposed to be? Are we literally building a 'wall' of people before the entrance of PP? If so, I would feel a little concerned about how we are showing love to the mother's involved by making it harder from them to get in. It's complex, but those women need to feel love and building a wall (even if it is of praying people) at the entrance, would I think feel more like a protest than it would be a statement of love to them.

Hopefully, God's leading is on this. I don't think these women need to feel any more condemned than they do already (although that's probably human reasoning rather than God's).
