Report on the “8″ – 9/8/7

The first 4 hours of this event, hosted by God Seekers Church with Pastor George Bell,  featured a hybrid band from several different churches. It was great to see different musicians worshiping together.

The final 2 hours were of the “blowout” variety by the Bodybuilders. The whole room came down to the front and there was a lot of jumping around.

Before that session, we took a lot of ground in prayer. I am listing these prayer points so that you can agree with us in prayer.

• We prayed for God to pour out his love on Philadelphia, the “City of Love”
• We then took this a step further and prayed for every neighborhood represented in the room.
• People broke up into small groups in order to do this.
• One group prayed for those in the neighborhood who are bound up in drugs, immorality, and other bondages.
• On behalf of the Church of Philadelphia we released mercy and love to those in such situations, and we bound ourselves through prayer to love them instead of condemning them.
• We proclaimed over people in the city “there is mercy in the house of the Lord” and sang this refrain dozens of times.
• Then we asked pastors and leaders to identify themselves – and sang the same refrain over them, on behalf of the church. We turned away from the trap of criticizing our pastors, and blessed them, speaking mercy and strength into their being.
• The remainder of that slot was a “beauty realm” session where we positioned ourselves to receive the love of the Father and operate from that posture.
